This strategic initiative is created to enable the change of Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) to a data-driven company. Our goal is to empower all VWFS business units to use data effectively, efficiently and compliantly in their business decisions.
D&A originally has been set up as central HQ function located in Germany. To strengthen D&A’s international profile and to cope with the increasing demand for D&A’s services, the European D&A Hub has recently been established in Warsaw, Poland. The teams in both locations work closely aligned to deliver outstanding data products and services for international data use cases at VWFS group.
Data Foundation — About:
The Data Foundation team makes the company’s data available and thus builds the groundwork for the efficient use of data by all business units at VWFS. We want to make accessing data feel like shopping at a market: everything in one place, easy to find, and in reliable quality. We cover the entire process from initial data requirements to reliable integrated data provisioning for analytical, administrative, and operational purposes.
Data Mission Control – About:
Data Mission Control (DMC) is a cross-functional central orchestration and monitoring team within VWFS Data & Analytics organization. Its mission is to ensure end-to-end (E2E) oversight of data delivery processes, from source systems to final business results, with a strong focus on data quality, punctuality, and operational resilience.
As part of the DMC team, you will take ownership of the Daily Deliveries monitoring process, ensuring that data deliveries are executed reliably, on time, and in alignment with business expectations. You will act as the central coordination point for identifying and resolving delivery issues, proactively communicating with stakeholders, and continuously improving the monitoring framework.
Main tasks:
- Oversee and steer the daily data delivery process across multiple systems and teams.
- Monitor delivery pipelines and proactively identify delays, failures, or anomalies.
- Coordinate with technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Maintain and evolve dashboards, alerts, and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Document and refine operational procedures to support scalable and resilient delivery processes.
- Participate in negotiating interfaces and service level agreements with your process partners
- Advance the agile way of working at Data Foundation with your ideas for process improvements
- Perform on-call duties where required (on up to 12 days per year)
Wymagania
Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
- Practical experience in agile work environments (preferably based on SAFe) using tools such as Jira
- Excellent English language skills (B2/C1 level)
- Very good Polish language skills (B2 level)
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for operational outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Structured and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Confidence in navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex delivery scenarios.
- Basic project management skills to coordinate cross-functional efforts and ensure timely delivery of results
- Relevant certifications such as IREB, CBAP, and CDMP are beneficial/nice to have
- Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks like ITIL are beneficial/nice to have
- High level of customer focus, demonstrated on several occasions
